June 2017

In June, the stress of the semester was finally able to disappear, and I could focus wholly on the things that I enjoy: traveling and books. This month, I read a whole bunch of things, mostly graphic novels, and I enjoyed most of them. With this wrap-up, because it’s my first one ever posted on this blog, I’m going to add a few books that I was able to finish on May 30-31 because they relate to books that I finished in the beginning of June. So, here we go…

I started reading Wonder Woman, and couldn’t really stop myself. It’s not my fault I swear! Eventually, my library’s OverDrive made me. I wasn’t able to pick up the fourth volume because someone had already had it checked out, but I wanted to continue reading something so that I didn’t stop reading the series and never pick it up again. So, I read Fables: Legends in Exile. When I was finally able to pick up Wonder Woman again, I breezed through the rest of the series,

When I was finally able to pick up Wonder Woman again, I breezed through the rest of the series,

Not gonna lie, while waiting for the rest of the WW series to be held for me at my library, I dragged myself through The Flash and DNFed Superman Vol. 1 and Superman/Wonder Woman vol. 1. I might come back to them later,  (let’s be real, probably not gonna happen) but for now I just can’t bring myself to focus on it.

And then I decided to bide my time with a re-read of Vampire Academy. (Finally! A book I could finish.) After Vampire Academy, Wonder Woman vol. 7 became available for checkout from my local library (it was about darn time!), and I flew through that installment in one sitting. Next, I picked up Eliza and Her Monsters and after THAT I slowly read An Ember in the Ashes. Well as slowly as I could read An Ember in the Ashes that is. Afterward, I couldn’t wait to pick up A Torch Against the Night. I haven’t quite finished that one yet, so, on to July.
