Fall 2020 Anticipated Releases

TGIF. Thank God It’s Fall. I’m so ready for the change of the season. Ready to trade summer sweat for a cool breeze. Ready for the quiet calm of cozying up in bed with hot tea and a good book. It may take a while to get to these books – I can feel a burnout coming on – but I am excited to get my hands on them.

Cemetery Boys

Aiden Thomas

This one’s giving me all the Fall vibes and I can’t wait! Except I’m probably gonna have to wait for my library to get with it.

The Lying Life of Adults

Elena Ferrante

Ok, ok, ok. So. I haven’t actually finished the Neapolitan Novels, but I have preordered the English translation because I’m hooked! I’ve only read My Brilliant Friend up until this point, but I’ve finished it twice and (I can’t believe I’m about to say this) but I think I’m going to go for a third… and then I’ll start the sequel… and finish the rest of that series. And then maybe re-read that and get to this one.

Anxious People

Fredrik Backman

A Man Called Ove and And Every Day the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer brought me to depressive tears. I was disappointed by My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry, but I am super excited to get to this one. A story told through interviews about a bank robber?? I’m in. There’s no way it’ll make me cry… right?

Oh, boy. I’m gonna need to be in the right mood for this one.

A Deadly Education

Naomi Novik

It’s been a minute since I’ve read anything magic school related. Never read anything by Naomi Novik before, might make this one my first.

The Impossible Life of Addie LaRue

V.E. Schwab

Fingers crossed this is the Schwab book that I fall in love with! I enjoy her writing style and plots, but for whatever reason I haven’t connected with her adult novels as much as I’ve connected with her young adult ones.

Also, can we talk about this cover?!

Crazy Stupid Bromance (Bromance #3)

Lyssa Kay Adams

I’m SO loving this series. Hooked since book one. This group of romance reading baseball players has my heart, but will NEVER have my leftover Chinese food. Hopefully picking this one up as soon as possible.

Also, looks like I’ve done it again with the color covers. Fall, this year, is very sunset.
