September began, as it should have, with decorations. I put up some ceramic pumpkins and finally installed some shelves in my bedroom – which I think I’m going to be using as a TBR location. And, I fell back in love with reading. This month, I finished a respectable 7 books, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
I started with the throwback series: Sweep books 1-4 by Cate Tiernan. This episodic teen soap series got me through a lot on my first read through and this time around I’m pleased to say that the story held up. I’ve still got a bunch more to read in this 15 part series, and I’m glad that they’re still here for me after all these years.

Then, I moved on to some romance. I adored the first two books in The Brown Sisters series by Talia Hibbert: Get a Life, Chloe Brown; and Take a Hint, Dani Brown. These stories are hilariously delicious, and quite steamy. I was not prepared for that amount of steam. I am now super prepared for the third installment: Act Your Age, Eve Brown. And, I hope that’s not the end of the road for this cast of characters. I would absolutely adore a book about Gigi. Just sayin’.
Next up: My first non-fiction read in a while: The (Almost) Zero Waste Guide by Melanie Mannarino. Such an ingestible, well written read with so many good tips, tricks, and resources! I plan to look back at this one quite a bit. I received an e-arc through NetGalley, my opinions are my own.
Nice wrap up!
