It’s been a while since I’ve published a Top Ten Tuesday post. I’ve missed this tag. It always gets me thinking about a new bookish aspect and in doing so, it allows me to look at my TBR a little differently. I’m glad to be doing this again! I’m not sure if this is going to be a weekly thing, or if I’m just going to jump in on topics that I find interesting.
In any case, I hope you had as much fun writing your posts (and reading the posts) as I had writing this one! This post is technically for the “Books Written Before I Was Born” prompt, but there were just so many good reads that I had to change it up a little. Here are a few books that were published the year that I was born. Bonus points if you figure out my birth year from the book titles alone! 😉

(The Wicked Years #1)
Gregory McGuire
Confession: I’ve wanted to read this book for the longest time – but I think I want to see the musical first! I’ve heard such good things about both and I’ve loved the Wicked playlist on Spotify!

(The Old Kingdom #1)
Garth Nix
This series has been recommended by so many fantasy readers! And, I still haven’t gotten around to it. I think this might be a series that I have to read in audio form. But, I’m super excited about it!

(Practical Magic #1)
Alice Hoffman
Probably one of my favorite movies of all times! It was with this movie that I was introduced to Midnight Margaritas and for that I am thankful! I’m just so worried that I may not enjoy the book as much as I love the movie.

(Farseer Trilogy #1)
Robin Hobb
Ah! One I’ve actually read. Y’all, I had no idea that the Farseer Trilogy began the year I was born! But I’m so glad that Fitz and I shared different fates. Man, does that guy go through it.

(The Witcher #2)
Andrzej Sapkowski
I enjoyed the prequel to the Witcher series, and I have yet to finish the Netflix show. Basically, I’ve half-started a few versions of this story and I’ve never made it to the second book. I hope it’s good, but again I worry that because I’ve seen the show I may not enjoy the book as much as I would like to.
I had so much fun looking through these titles! I almost couldn’t believe that I had found some that are still quite popular today. What does your birth year TBR look like? Have you read any of these? Were you able to guess my birth year without peaking at the publication dates? I look forward to your thoughts!
Top 10 Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Great list! I love Assassin’s Apprentice, and really need to continue on with the Witcher series!
