I am so excited to see all of your Top Ten Tuesday posts for this prompt! Many of my favorite books contain stories that make me laugh out loud, and I’m always searching for new funny reads! These books have a special place in my heart, as I typically go for funny books when I am just generally not feeling the greatest.

The Brown Sisters Series, Talia Hibbert
Talia Hibbert is hilarious. Honestly, I don’t think I could pick a single scene from either of these books. They were both so funny! I do remember reading one of these books (I believe it was Chloe Brown) on my break at work and laughing so loudly that I scared someone eating a table over. Talia Hibbert, writing women who save cats from trees and men that carry women out of fake-fire buildings.

House of Earth and Blood, Sarah J. Maas
★★★★★
There is a particular scene about a unicorn that to this day makes me tear up with laughter. The two romanced characters in this one had me rolling with their banter.

Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery Series, Danielle Garrett
.5 A Witch of a Day ★★★
1. Murders a Witch ★★★★
2. Twice the Witch ★★★★
A vampire, a werwolf, and a witch walk into a house…
This series features a halfway-house in which magical creatures live together. Danielle Garrett brings these characters to life and I absolutely adore every scene set in the manor. It’s definitely a Breakfast-Club meets Charmed vibe and I am so here for it.

Giant Days, John Allison
This series is so, so good y’all. I wish I would have read it when I was first starting college. The situations that these women get themselves into are absolutely hilarious! While sometimes over the top, this series made me laugh at a time when I was really going through it. It’s a fun glimpse into college life, with fun friendship and important topics. I wish this one were adapted into show form, but for now I will just re-read Daisy, Esther, and Susan’s stories.

The UnHoneymooners, Christina Lauren
★★★★
I have few words for this fake dating, enemies to lovers story, but I will leave you with a quote:
“I want to say something sassy, but the only coherent thought that comes to mind is how insulting it is that eyelashes like his were wasted on Satan’s Errand Boy, so I just give a perfunctory nod and turn down the hall.”
The Unhoneymooners, Christina Lauren
The first book that I ever remember that made me double over with laughter was read to me in elementary school: Fudge, by Judy Blume. I’ve decided that that story is an honorable mention for this post. If you’ve read the story, you may remember a scene in which Fudge, Peter’s adorably annoying younger brother, learning to spell while on a family road trip to Maine. To this day, whenever I hear the word “Maine” I can’t help but recite, “M-A-I-N-E spells Maine!” in my head.

Top 10 Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
